Through sports, live conversations and other events, we bring athletes and communities together and use the reach of sport to keep attention on the children of Gaza, their experiences and their futures.

About Children of Gaza
Children of Gaza was created because athletes should be able to speak openly about Gaza without somebody else deciding what they meant.
Professional athletes have significant public platforms, but having a large audience does not necessarily make difficult conversations easier. Statements can be shortened, interviews edited and individual words separated from their wider context. An athlete can be criticised for what they actually said, then criticised again for somebody else’s interpretation of it. For some, the result is silence.
Children of Gaza provides an independent platform for athletes who do want to speak. We give them the time and space to express themselves properly, and let audiences hear directly from them.
The reason for creating that platform is bigger than sport. We want to use the reach athletes have to keep attention on the children of Gaza, and to amplify their voices, experiences, hopes and futures. We do not claim to speak for them.
